  • F.A.Q.

    How does registration work?
After School Art is divided into two seasons for the 2024-2025 school year – Fall and Winter/Spring! Choose 1-5 days per week by the season, and register with a 50% deposit online. Registration is a seasonal commitment and there are two seasons that span the school year from September to June.

We have a brand new registration portal with easy access to all account/registration information and receipts. Closer to the start of the program, you’ll receive an email confirmation with additional program details.

    Are payments automated?
Yes! This is NEW for the ‘24-’25 school year and will allow you to lock in your afternoon spot/s so that you can “set it and forget it”!

Registrations made with the 50% deposit will have the remaining balance set to auto-deduct in two future payments, at week 4 and week 8 of each season. You will receive an email reminder one week before any automatic payments debit.

    Is school pick-up included?
We offer free pick-up* from local area schools at their dismissal time – scroll down to check out our list of pick-up schools below! Don’t see your school? With enough interest we may be able to add it, reach out to us!

We safely orchestrate school pick-ups with our trained, full-time art teachers. Teachers escort kids on foot to studios, while kids attending schools further out are regularly bussed via Septa. Families are welcome to drop off as well, starting at 3:30pm.

*Independence Charter School (ICS) has early dismissals every Wednesday! ICS students must select the Early Wednesday ICS Pick-up Add-on at the time of registration.

  • Early Dismissal + No School Days

    Full Day Vacation Camps
No School? We’ve got you covered with Full Day Vacation Camps!

Camp runs from 9am-3pm with Early and Late Care options available and is a separate sign-up from After School Art. Vacation Camps have limited space and generally fill fast. The schedule for the entire year posts online, each August.

    Vacation Camp Late Care +
    After School Art:

If you enroll in a Vacation Camp day that is ALSO your After School Art day in the same season, you do NOT need to enroll in Late Care; it is already covered for the afternoon with your After School Art registration.

Conversely, if it is not your regular ASA day and you need care beyond 3pm, then you must register online for Late Care, at least one week prior to the camp day.

    Spring Break + Late Care
There is no ASA program during the week of the School District of Philadelphia’s Spring Break. If you’re enrolled in camp, you must sign up for Late Care that week, April 14-18th.

Vacation Camp Registration opens in August.

    Half Day Vacation Camps:
Early School Dismissal? Our Half Day Vacation Camp (Noon-3pm) schedule aligns with the School District of Philadelphia (SDP) calendar and are offered on pre-scheduled early dismissal days only.

We are not able to offer Half Day Camps or early dismissal pick-up on unplanned early dismissal days for inclement weather due to staffing and studio space not being available on short notice.

Half Day Vacation Camps are only offered aligned with the School SDP Calendar.

    Early Dismissal + Pick-Up Information:
If your child is currently enrolled in After School Art (ASA) and also registered for Half Day camp, they’re eligible for early school pick-up and we will be there at their school dismissal time with no other action required.

Half Day camp is a separate registration from ASA and you must pre-register online and
registration closes the week prior to Half Day Camp, or earlier once full.

The early school pick-up service is only for currently enrolled ASA families that attend SDP schools. We are not able to pick-up students NOT currently enrolled in ASA, as safety procedures around pick-up are not in place for ad-hock days.

If a child is not enrolled in After School Art, can we still register for Half Day camp?

Yes! Registration is open to all but you must drop off your child at the studio, starting at 12pm. To be eligible for early school pick-up, kiddos have to be currently enrolled in After School Art.

Can my child attend a Half Day Vacation Camp if it is not there ASA day?
Yes, you can sign up for ANY Half Day camp! Parent pick-up is by 3pm if it is not your ASA day, as studios are generally full with our regular group of enrolled ASA kids that day.

Is Late Care open on Half Day Vacation Camps?

There is no Late Care for Half Day Vacation Camps. Pick-up is by 3pm, unless it’s your child’s registered ASA day, in which case they can stay for their regular after school time until 6pm.

Half Day Vacation Camp Registration opens in August.
